NXP
The Dutch company NXP Semiconductors N.V is a global leader in the field of semiconductors used, for example, in secure identification applications, as well as in the automotive industry and digital networks. The company’s history goes back to 1953, when it was established as a branch of Philips. In 1993, the Philips Semiconductor company was established, to be transformed into NXP in 2006. After that, 2015 was another milestone, as the company was merged with Freescale (former Motorola). Shortly afterwards, part of the company's portfolio was separated and transferred to two other entities: Ween and Nexperia. The renewed NXP brand is concentrated on the development and manufacturing of microcontrollers, microprocessors, RFID technology, security solutions, and operates also in several other fields.
The NXP assortment includes a diverse product range, mostly integrated circuit solutions. The TME product catalogue includes a wide variety of NXP microcontrollers based on the ARM architecture (various Cortex generations), as well as Kinetis and LPC family products.
