Properly selected nuts are the basis of each electronic installation – regardless whether it is used in industrial, construction, or home applications. They are designed to firmly attach components, creating connections that are very durable or easy to change, depending on your needs. There are many kinds of nuts – different designs for different applications. It's worth taking your time selecting them, since matching the nuts with other structural components facilitates installation and makes the connections more durable.
Nuts available at TME are made out of various types of steel (e.g. tempered, acid-resistant, stainless), brass, or aluminium, as well as polyamide. Importantly, nuts can be divided by shape. Hexagonal nuts are the most popular choice. If you need to e.g. block ducts or profiles, square nuts are a better option. When creating connections that should be easy to disassemly, it's best to go with winged nuts. For applications where bolts and nuts are used for manipulating objects, knurled nuts are a good choice – they offer a steady grip. Depending on the material used, you can create durable connections with quick fastening nuts – cage nuts (for metal sheets) and T-nuts (for wood). If you need to make sure that the fastened element will not come loose, you should go with self-retaining nuts and consider choosing the right pads. The full list of all available products is much longer, and same-type components differ in size.
You can find nuts of all types and sizes in TME's catalogue. Our search engine lets you filter them based on material, shape, dimensions, and standards they comply with. You can also easily choose the right thread diameter. Our offer includes products from many manufacturers, including: Bossard and KRAFTBERG.
