(353)Operational amplifiers are electronic circuits characterized by high voltage amplification and high input impedance. Currently, they are created as integrated circuits. A typical operating amplifier has two inputs (inverting and non-inverting) and one output. It’s designed to work with an external feedback system, on which its application depends as e.g., an inverting amplifier, non-inverting amplifier, or voltage follower. When selecting the amplifier, it’s worth analysing the most important parameters – input offset voltage, differential resistance, amplification bandwidth, voltage rise rate and cut-off frequency. The first parameter describes the voltage between inputs of the amplifier at the moment when there is zero voltage at the output. The elements available on the market differ in operating speed, frequency, mounting method and resistance to high temperature. The offer also includes analogue comparators, i.e. amplifiers that extremely quickly compare voltages or currents at the input and give a relevant signal at the output.
