Bivar is an American company whose origins date back to the mid-1960s. Its beginnings and development are directly connected with the dynamic growth of the computer industry. Right from the start, the manufacturer has focused on offering mechanical components made of plastic, intended mainly for PCB mounting: from spacer sleeves, to isolating and positioning elements, handles, levers and guides. Another group of products from the supplier’s portfolio that turned out to be very popular comprises mounting elements for LEDs. From the TME catalogue, you can purchase a diverse range of Bivar products – these are mainly products that facilitate the development of control and steering panels, but also consumer devices (audio-video devices, household appliances). Apart from basic elements such as clips for single THT LEDs, the manufacturer also supplies a wide range of light pipes – transparent elements used to guide the light emitted by SMD elements to the face of the panel. Such accessories can be made in a straight and angular form and are available in different sizes. Alternatively, designers can use THT LEDs housed in a body, which helps keep the face of the component in a perpendicular position in relation to the PCB.
