GeneSiC SEMICONDUCTOR
GeneSiC Semiconductor is a US-based semiconductor company established in 2002. From the very beginning, it has focused on the development, testing and production of innovative components using the new silicon carbide (SiC) technology. It is thanks to this expertise that we can now use the SiC diodes and transistors characterised by low losses, high efficiency and resistance to high operating temperatures. These solutions are applied wherever conditions or requirements exceed the capabilities of conventional silicon technology – especially including renewable energy converters, high-power controllers used in the field of industrial automation and power generation, as well as in military applications and many other fields.
In the TME catalogue, you will find a number of GeneSiC semiconductor components that employ the silicon carbide technology. These include Schottky diodes (both in THT and SMD versions) with a current rating of up to 50 A (400 A at peak forward surge current), as well as diode modules (screw-mounted) with a maximum forward current rating of up to 420 A (800 A at peak forward surge current). Products from this supplier available at TME also include unipolar transistors, MOSFET modules and related components.
