NWS
NWS is a German brand founded after the breakdown of Europe’s largest tool forge, “Walter Gott”. The company was established in 1973 by Willibald Nöthen, and its name is an abbreviation of Nöthen Werkzeuge Solingen. The business began to expand in 1991, after the reunification of Germany, when NWS opened an additional production facility in Thuringia. Since the very beginning, the brand has specialised in manufacturing hand tools, mainly pliers produced with the use of innovative and patented technology. The tools display extraordinary functionality, durability and precision of design. They are also known for their distinct, ergonomically designed, three-component handle, which guarantees steady grip and requires minimal effort from the user.
At TME, you can now find basic tools from the NWS portfolio. In general, they include universal, flat or cutting pliers (intended for cutting aluminium and copper wires and cables), which are made from chrome-vanadium steel. Some of the products are compliant with the electrical engineering standards to ensure user safety. Those who perform installation work on a regular basis may also be interested in specialist knives, insulation strippers and tools for crimping: bootlace ferrules and connectors (also insulated ones). Moreover, NWS supplies multi-purpose tools for cable stripping and universal folding knives.
