TOSHIBA
Although the official name Toshiba was not introduced until 1984, it had been commonly used for years to refer to the Tokyo Shibaura Denki brand established in 1939. Its roots go back to the heavy electric machinery industry and miniaturised electronic equipment industry. Since the second half of the 20th century, Toshiba has been investing heavily in research and development activities, and since the 1990s it has focused its resources on semiconductors and personal computers. Nevertheless, it still maintains a broad portfolio, so the Toshiba Group business activity now comprises a great spectrum of products and services: from the power industry, infrastructure and construction, to retail, to a broad range of electronics, including both components (e.g. digital memories) and consumer devices.
The Toshiba product range in the TME catalogue is truly diverse. First and foremost, it includes semiconductor components – universal diodes, Schottky diodes and protection diodes (in SMD or THT packages, i.e. for surface or through-hole mounting); unipolar and bipolar transistors, as well as IGBTs. Toshiba integrated circuits include comparators, motor drivers (PWM), buffers, meters (timers), multiplexers/demultiplexers, and also typical logical components such as gateways, inverters, latches, multivibrators, and shift registers. The optoelectronic components offered by this manufacturer include optocouplers with analogue and digital outputs and optotriacs. In the TME catalogue, you can also find Toshiba semiconductor relays and single- and three-phase inverters for industrial systems (including vector inverters).
