WERMA started its business in 1950 by manufacturing dryers and motors. Seven years later, the company changed its product range to buzzers. Today, WERMA is one of the most recognised manufacturers of light and sound signalling devices. Since 2005, it has been actively developing its business outside of its native Germany. It has offices in Switzerland, China, the UK, France, Belgium, the United States, and Italy.

Light and sound (and mixed) signalling devices in workplaces and public utility facilities are some of the fundamental protections. They provide unambiguous information on threats, machine operation, closing/opening passageways, etc. WERMA’s products include items emitting both audible and visual signals, and also modular signal towers which can be configured freely to tailor them to the application requirements. At the same time – as they are adapted to standard voltages and sizes, as well as diverse environmental conditions – the columns can be easily connected to the already existing system.
