Software architecture is a structural model of an information system that describes the basic logical components, their responsibilities, interactions, dependencies and mechanisms of communication between them. It provides an abstract framework for the system design, setting the framework for its technical and functional organisation, taking into account performance aspects, security, scalability, availability and maintenance. Software architecture is a critical reference point for both project teams, as well as for future stages of system development, and its proper design is essential for the quality and durability of IT solutions.
At a formal level, software architecture can be described using architectural patterns, such as layered architecture, microservices, event-driven architecture, client-server or hexagonal architecture, which support the fulfilment of specific non-functional and functional requirements. These models are supported by formal notations, m.such as. UML (Unified Modelling Language) and domain-oriented methodologies, such as DDD (Domain-Driven Design).
Software architecture also includes decisions regarding implementation technologies, responsibility allocation strategies, design APIS, versioning and modularization policies. It is strongly linked to the software development life cycle and DevOps practices, CI/CD and configuration management. Contemporary approaches to architecture involve iterative refinement and evolutionary development, based on the principles of adaptive architecture, while ensuring compliance with business, regulatory and operational requirements, regulatory and operational requirements.
Transfer Multisort Elektronik (TME) is one of the world’s largest global distributors of electronic components, electrotechnical parts, workshop equipment, and industrial automation. The catalog includes over 1,500,000 products from 1,300 leading manufacturers. TME’s modern logistics centers in Łódź and Rzgów (Poland), with a combined area of over 40,000 m², ship nearly 6,000 packages daily to customers in more than 150 countries.
TME also invests in the development of knowledge and skills of young engineers and electronics enthusiasts through the TME Education project, and supports the tech community by organizing the TechMasterEvent series, promoting innovation and experience exchange.
