Peltier module (also called Peltier cell) is a thermoelectric semiconductor component that operates like a heat pump. Depending on the polarity of voltage delivered to the module, it can work as a component used to cool down or heat up other components. A big advantages of Peltier cells is their simplicity. They consist of two parallel ceramic plates (which serve as insulation and contact surface), and "p" and "n" semiconductors placed between them. The stability and durability of this construction, as well as the lack of moving parts or a working medium, make Peltier modules popular in various electronic and industrial applications, where efficient cooling system is required. To ensure appropriate heat dissipation on the hot side of the cell, efficient heatsinks and fans are often used.
TME offers Peltier cells from Stonecold. They are made of aluminum oxide and bismuth-tin alloy. Products can be sorted by numerous important parameters. One of them is maximum amount of dissipated heat. The offer includes Peltier modules with maximum power of 9.5W up to 350W. Maximum voltage and operating current can be selected in a comfortable manner. If needed, information on component resistance, as well as the length and size of connection cables is also available. Product specification of each module includes its dimensions. Product-specific sites for each model of Peltier cells feature a file with detailed technical data provided by the manufacturer.
