The TME product catalogue has been extended to include new multimedia accessories offered by Qoltec, i.e. HDMI splitters designed both for consumer and professional applications.
Such splitters transmit a single digital signal to several receivers. Our product catalogue includes versions with two or four outputs. Obviously, the transmission is smooth, without any mutual interferences between end devices. With an HDMI splitter, you can send signal from a computer directly to a projector and TV to watch films or play video games on your sofa, and to a monitor in order to do your work. They will all be connected at the same time, so selecting the receiver will not involve the need to handle cables. Moreover, the device supports the Plug and Play standard, which makes it intuitive, as its operation boils down to connecting a power supply and necessary cabling.
The fact that the device requires power supply is not a disadvantage, as it means that the products presented here are active splitters, i.e. they amplify signals to facilitate stable transmission even over long distances.
The differences between the models offered here include the number of outputs (2 or 4) and the supported HDMI standard, i.e. the generation 1.4 standard (fully sufficient for most typical applications) or generation 2.0 standard. The latter provides faster data transmission, more audio channels (32 instead of 8), enhanced CEC protocol (receiver control via a transmitter), and a possibility to send two multimedia streams (PIP or picture-in-picture feature) Regardless of the version, HDMI splitters support resolutions up to Ultra HD, i.e. 4K (30 frames per second for the 1.4 standard, and 60 frames per second for 2.0).
