Power Cables

Lian Dung power cables are available in two variants.

The first offers cables with connectors at both ends of the wire. The second variant features cables terminated with a connector at one end and the other end free. These types of cables are designed for soldering and are used in the industry.

In both cases, these are products with broad applications and are available in three colors: white, gray, and black. Cables can be used by manufacturers of electronic/electrical devices as accessories, or purchased as replacements. Regardless of the intended application, the Taiwanese supplier's offer should interest suppliers, distributors, as well as service technicians and ordinary consumers.

Network Connectors

The Lian Dung company's portfolio is designed to meet the needs of global markets, offering cabling compatible with most global power network standards. This includes not only electrical parameters: nominal voltages of 250V, and in selected cases up to 500V; currents up to 16A thanks to the use of wires with cross-sections up to 1.5mm2. Adaptation to various local standards also includes the type of connectors used.

European Standards

Standard CEE 7 is the most popular type of network connector in Europe, standardized in the mid-20th century. Over the years, it appeared in several minor variants: French CEE 7/5 and German (so-called Schuko) CEE 7/3. The difference was in the different connection of the protective circuit, which was implemented using (respectively): a pin placed in the socket or contacts located on the edge of the plug. Version CEE 7/7 is compatible with both standards. The presented offer also includes cables with universal, compact connectors CEE 7/16 (without a grounding plug).

It should be noted that in Europe there are still two popular standards based on the CEE 7/16 format, where an additional protective contact is placed between the power pins. These are the Swiss (SEV-1011) and Italian (CEI 23-50) versions.

Another widely recognized standard worldwide are specific British connectors (BS 1363) – excellently protected against user electrocution (even a curious child), and also featuring a cylindrical fuse socket placed in the plug. Lian Dung provides both cabling with such connectors and separate plugs designed for mounting on the wire.

Asian Standards

Typical solutions for Asia are found mainly in two countries: Israel and Japan. The former are similar to European ones, however, in their plug, the role of the protective circuit contact is played by a pin (thus, the sockets have three holes). This standard is referred to by the abbreviation IS1-16P.

In most Asian countries, connectors compatible (although not identical) with European standards are used. A significant exception here is, of course, Japan, whose sockets are similar to American standards (although the network parameters are different and also vary depending on the region). Cabling intended for the Japanese market is referred to by the abbreviation JIS 8303.

Oceania and North America

In Australia and New Zealand, network plugs with a specific, triangular arrangement of flattened pins are used, where the power pair is additionally angled, ensuring that the neutral and phase wires are always connected in the same polarity. Similar to cables for European and British markets, Lian Dung cables intended for the Oceania region are adapted to voltages of 250V AC and currents of 10A.

The supplier's range could not lack cabling made according to North American standards. In this group, we find two types of plugs: NEMA 1-15, i.e., the most commonly encountered variant without a grounding pin, and NEMA 5-15, which includes a protective circuit contact (standard used mainly in higher power machines, household appliances). Due to the lower network voltage (nominal 125V AC), wires capable of delivering currents up to 15A (up to 14 according to AWG) were used here.

Device Connectors

As mentioned, Lian Dung's offering includes both cables equipped only with a network connector and versions where plugs are factory-mounted on both ends. In the latter case, formats most commonly encountered on global markets, in various versions, were used.

IEC C5/C7/C8 Connectors

Connectors C5 (so-called cloverleaf) and C7 (so-called figure-eight) are most commonly used in electronic devices where there is not too high power consumption. Examples here include stationary RTV devices (radios, televisions), laptop chargers etc. Additionally, the supplier's range also includes cables with a C8 connector, the female version of C7, i.e., the proper socket for this plug. Such cables are adapted to act as an extension for connections using this type of connector.

IEC C13/C14/C15 onnectors

C13 and C15 (female) and C14 (male, socket) connectors are used for powering high-power devices or equipment that may experience significant voltage spikes (measuring instruments). They are typically found in desktop computer power supplies, servers, office equipment (copiers, plotters, printers), audio amplifiers, and also in some industrial machines. C15 plugs are similar in design to C13/C14 but feature a notch in the housing and offer higher thermal tolerance (in Europe, the standard is 120°C), which is why they are used for powering heaters, electric kettles, and similar appliances.

IEC C19/C20 Connectors

Cabling equipped with C19/C20 connectors features the highest current-carrying capacity (up to 16A, i.e., for maximum loads of approx. 4kW). This standard is most often used in industrial applications, metal processing machinery (lathes, drills), UPS systems, energy storage units, etc. The plug and socket profiles are incompatible with the above-mentioned standards, but as with the C13/C14/C15 group, angled connector versions are also available.

The most specialized type of cables in the Lian Dung assortment are those with AC fan connectors. This specific type of plug is commonly used in HVAC sector devices.
