(68 059)Passive components are some of the most basic electronic components. They do not produce energy on their own but they convert the existing signal. The most important products in this category are: resistors, capacitors, transformers and coils. TME also offers chokes, quartz crystals and filters, varistors, potentiometers and more. Each of them functions in a slightly different way: for example, resistors convert some of the energy they receive into heat, while capacitors temporarily store it.
Passive components of electronic circuits available from TME

We also offer three types of potentiometers: slide pots, shaft pots, and trimmers. The sole characteristics of the change in the resistance can be either linear or logarithmic. The resistive element of potentiometers can be made of one of a few different materials: cermet, wire, carbon or plastic. Depending on their construction, these components can be divided into single-turn and multiturn, as well as horizontal or vertical potentiometers. The tolerated deviation from the nominal value is between ±5°C and ±30°C. The maximum resistance that can be set is 33MΩ for advanced passive components of electronic circuits.
