KYOCERA AVX

The Kyocera AVX brand belongs to the Kyocera Group, one of Japan’s leading electronics manufacturers. The roots of AVX itself date back to the 1920s. At that time, Radiola Wireless Corporation was founded, which in time evolved into Aerovox Corporation. AVX operated as a separate component manufacturer (with the main focus on ceramic capacitors) within the corporation. Since 2021, AVX has been known globally as Kyocera AVX. It continues to specialise in core components for precision, office, automotive and railway electronics.

The Kyocera AVX range of products featured in the TME catalogue comprises primarily passive components. These include MLCCs (the most popular SMD component format), as well as electrolytic, tantalum, and also polymer and hybrid capacitors. The manufacturer also supplies supercapacitor solutions – components that are widely used in the fields of renewable energy and EVs (electric vehicles). It should be noted here that Kyocera AVX is also a manufacturer of other types of passive components, including surge protectors, varistors and quartz resonators. For some time, the company has been developing its range of wireless communication solutions: it offers antennas (both external and SMD) with GPS, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth support, among other things.
