The ebm-papst group was founded in 2003 as a result of merger of Elektrobau Mulfingen GmbH & Co. KG (ebm), Papst Motoren GmbH from St. Georgen, and Motoren Ventilatoren Landshut GmbH (mvl). It's a German consortium with a long tradition, specializing in manufacture of electric motors and fans. The company has several dozen manufacturing plants in the world, for instance in Germany, China, and the USA. The ebm-papst headquarters is based in Mulfingen, Germany.
