Spacers, such as plastic standoffs and pegs, are commonly used for permanent, firm fixing of various electronic components, e.g. PCBs or modules, in enclosures and racks. The use of plastic guarantees the necessary electrical separation. Proper spacing between components not only provides protection against interaction, but also ensures adequate ventilation, which has a positive effect on the life cycle of electronics.
The Plastic spacers category of the TME catalogue is divided into two main subcategories: Plastic standoffs and Plastic pegs. With an extensive system of search engine filters, you can quickly search for a specific group of products. They are divided according to, e.g., the type of spacer (i.e.: insulating distance, PCB distance, screwed or non-screwed spacer, insulating sleeve or assembly stud) or the type of a mounting element. Our range includes products made of various kinds of plastic. The most numerous group are components made of polyamide. Apart from them, you can also find plastic spacers made of polystyrene, thermoplastic and PBT. In the case of threaded (screwed) products, you can choose between internal or external threads (the most common components are those with M3, M4, and M2.5 diameters).
