Milwaukee
Milwaukee was established in the early 1920s, in the US state of Wisconsin. Naturally, the brand’s name derives from the home city of the supplier, Milwaukee. Today, the company is headquartered in Brookfield, which is located in the same metropolitan area. Already in its first decades of operations, the manufacturer gained the status of one of the most prestigious North American suppliers of tools, the which is best evidenced by the fact it was contracted to supply the tooling used by the US Navy. Milwaukee quickly became a specialist in power tools and is still known primarily as a supplier of this type of equipment. Furthermore, starting from 2016, it is the largest US supplier of cordless (battery-powered) power tools. However, it should be emphasised that the manufacturer's full portfolio includes a much wider range of tools.
Milwaukee solutions available in the TME catalogue mainly include accessories and hand tools. These are, among other things, screwdrivers (also with a 1/4" socket), flat & socket spanners and adjustable wrenches, as well as pliers, including cutting pliers, scissors (e.g. for cutting copper and aluminium cables) and knives. The range also includes a number of consumable accessories for power tools: cutting discs, including saws (for metal, steel, concrete), jigsaw blades, quarter-inch bits for screwdrivers/drivers (slotted, Phillips, Pozidriv®, Torx®) and the most extensive product group, i.e. drill bits. The latter come not only in versions designed for work with various types of materials, but also as flat boring bits, holesaws (including diamond versions), standard and pointed chisels. It is also worth noting that Milwaukee manufactures a range of OHS solutions such as goggles, hearing protectors (earplugs), knee protectors, and gloves available in a wide range of sizes
