It aims to create complex information systems that meet functional and non-functional requirements with high quality, reliability, security and cost-effectiveness.
Software engineering develops software lifecycle models, such as cascading, incremental, iterative or agile (Agile), which define the production phases and their interdependencies. Issues related to requirements management, domain modelling, version control, unit and integration testing, code refactoring, quality metrics and continuous integration are an integral part of the software engineering process.
